Melissa's aspirations of becoming a racecar driver began around the age of five. Melissa has always had a love for speed and working on cars. Melissa pushes herself every week to that fine line between going fast and losing control. As soon as Melissa straps herself into the racecar she is taken into another world and is completely focused on the race.

       In the year 2006, she began her racing career in Jr Champ karts at Londonderry Raceway. In her first year of racing she won the track championship. She also won the award for the Most Determined Driver.
       For the 2007 season she ran in the NorthEast Pavement Series and WKA. Melissa also ran the last five Allison Legacy North Series races to get seat time and gain knowledge for the 2008 season. During the last three races Melissa finished on the lead lap and gained speed each lap.

        Melissa plans on racing in the Allison Legacy Series for a few years and hopes to get into an even bigger traveling series, such as the Busch East Series, maybe NASCAR someday. She also plans on becoming an automotive engineer an attending a college down south.
